The mission of the Center for Biomedical Research Informatics at the University of Minnesota is to improve the efficiency of basic, clinical, and translational research in the life and health sciences through development and application of information technologies.

About the Center

The Center for Biomedical Research Informatics was created April 2006 to contribute to the research excellence of the University of Minnesota in the life and health sciences. Sponsored by the administration of the Academic Health Center (Mark Paller, Assistant Vice President for Research), and the Office of Information Technology (Steve Cawley, Vice President and CIO), the Center engages in research and development in information technologies, explores the application of emerging technologies, and provides research cyberinfrastructure.
